ClearaScan Terms & Conditions (Terms of Use)

These Terms govern your use of:

ClearaScan is operated by The Pontaro Company (trading as ClearaScan). By accessing or using ClearaScan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the services.

1. Service Description

ClearaScan provides product scanning tools that compare user-provided allergy or dietary information with scanned packaging data and other available product information. The service is provided for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for checking product packaging directly. ClearaScan is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

2. No Medical Advice

ClearaScan does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition. Scan results are generated based on:

  • User-provided information
  • Scanned packaging data
  • Available product information

Product ingredients, formulations, manufacturing processes, and packaging may change without notice. You remain solely responsible for:

  • Checking product labels and allergen statements
  • Making consumption decisions
  • Seeking medical advice where appropriate

3. Accounts

Certain features may require account creation. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials
  • All activity under your account

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClearaScan and The Pontaro Company shall not be liable for:

  • Reliance on scan results
  • Inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated product information
  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages
  • Business interruption or loss of profits

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted by law. You use the service at your own risk.

8. Warranties Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of scan results
  • Completeness of ingredient data
  • Suitability of any product

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the service at any time.
